Los Arboles Addition No. 2 is the end of the story. Thirty-one Claude Oakland houses recorded in 1974 — after which no more Eichlers were built in Palo Alto, a run that had lasted twenty-five years and produced thirty-two recorded tracts.

The houses are the fully-developed late Oakland: bigger, better insulated, more private, and further from the spare 1949 originals than most people expect. They close the arc that University Gardens opened, and they are worth seeing back-to-back with it. The recorded lots run along Torreya Court.

Drawn to the era, not to a specific address — the broken roofline and harder street face of the late tracts.

What was built here

The late tracts, largely Claude Oakland's. Bigger, more complex in section, harder-edged at the street and considerably better built in envelope terms — better glazing, better insulation, more comfortable to actually live in.

What moves the number in Los Arboles Addition No. 2

  • The final Palo Alto Eichler recording. That distinction is real and buyers pay attention to it.
  • 1974 construction — the most comfortable envelope of any tract on this list.
  • Compare directly against the original Los Arboles recording next door, fifteen years earlier.

What is it worth?

We price Los Arboles Addition No. 2 the way it was built.

By tract, by architect, by what is still intact. Tell us the address and we will come back with the range and the reasoning behind it — not an automated estimate.

Before they hit the market

Most Los Arboles Addition No. 2 homes we sell never reach a portal.

Owners in these tracts tend to know each other. When one decides to move, we usually hear first. Join the list and you will hear early too — no volume, no drip campaign.
