Channing Park No. 3 completes what Anshen & Allen and A. Quincy Jones began four years earlier, and it completes it in a different voice. By 1955 Jones & Emmons were the firm, and this twenty-house addition carries their handling rather than the earlier mixed authorship.
Walking from No. 1 and No. 2 into No. 3 is a short course in how quickly the Eichler house matured between 1951 and 1955. Same neighborhood, four years apart, noticeably more assured. The recorded lots run along Newell Place and Louisa Court.
What was built here
The classic period. Larger plans, more assured roof geometry, longer glass runs — and, from about 1957, the atrium: an open-air room dropped into the middle of the plan. Whether a given house has one is the first question to ask.
What moves the number in Channing Park No. 3
- Later and more resolved than the adjacent Channing Park recordings, despite the shared name.
- Twenty houses. Sales are infrequent and rarely public.
- 1955 sits just before the atrium era — close, but not yet.

Before they hit the market
Most Channing Park No. 3 homes we sell never reach a portal.
Owners in these tracts tend to know each other. When one decides to move, we usually hear first. Join the list and you will hear early too — no volume, no drip campaign.
